The George and Dragon in Clifton offers accommodation designed in elegant country estate style. The ten rooms, each with en suite bathrooms, contain beautiful crewel work materials, quality linens and custom made beds. Each room has been individually designed, with paintings and furniture chosen from the Lowther family's own collection.

Well behaved dogs are welcome in the rooms by arrangement only (at no extra charge).

Cyclists and walkers are welcome. We have a secure place to store bikes and a room for drying clothes.
