The George and Dragon is a cosy inn with bedrooms - all upstairs, each with en suite bathrooms. Each room is individually designed with paintings and furniture chosen from the Lowther family's own collection. They contain beautiful crewel work materials, quality linens and comfortable beds.

Rates range from £90 - £145 for a double room and from £70 for single occupancy. We have a family room and also two rooms next door to one another in a private area, which is also suitable for families. Please see full rates and terms and conditions below.

Well behaved dogs are welcome in the rooms by arrangement only.

Cyclists and walkers are welcome. We have a secure place to store bikes and a room for drying clothes.
